  3. I found a place that has large sized hats. The only cowboy type are more of the Aussie hat style. For baseball type hats some of them range from 7 5/8 to 9 1/4. Bucket hats. English newsboy caps. Derbys. Not all of them are in the biggest sizes but many up to the 8 1/4 size. Lamood big hats.
  4. im in agreement on both honey comb and real butter - we eat regularly when available and dont compromise on the butter , as to the peanut butter im very picky - only skippy creamy not used to be the chunky but my digestive track doesnt like nuts or pieces of nuts anymore - sadly i miss a lot of things over that but ive found other things i likethese days

  7. ive not dabbled in that since high school friend and i were involved but it was fun , id even like to revisit but so much has changed in the last 50+ years i dont even know where to begin , i can still listen on my 1927 atwater kent radio , but im not into listening to dots and dashes much , but the voice stuff is ok , when i can keep it in tune - its an old vacuumed tube radio after all , kinda fun with the grandkids , they cant believe it predates TV
  8. thats interesting - i had to get my first and second marriage annulled [basically pay them a fee and let them snoop in my past] to get married in the catholic church the third time - both my others were i married lutherans and they didnt have all those issues to deal with , im not familiar with the orthadox and i dont know any to my knowledge , will be interesting to hear , i just know the church cost us a lot of money back when neither of us had much because she had to do the same thing with her previous marriage WHAT A RACXKET - BUYING FORGFIVENESS FOR SOMETHING WE NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG IN , but we all have our stories and sore spots , in the end im glad i did what i did its been a very good last 35 years of marriage , i came back to add that i dont regret the first ten even if id never want to relive them - they were an education , i do regret the second eight as they were pure stupidity on my part and crazy on hers , ill leave it at that ax both made for this to be my last ,
  9. i agree , had no idea they were worth that - i just kept my grandfathers lures and some of my dads because i liked looking at them , i didd add a few others and some friends and family added some others , im not a big collector i have a few shadow boxes with some very vintage lures that may or may not have value - i just like looking at them , used to hang on my office walls along with some vintage rods back before i retired , now they fill my home office walls - its a lot smaller and i have no room to add anything anymore
  10. Today
  11. A roommate of mine many years ago came home after a night out at the bars. He lived in a separate little building behind the main house we were renting. He put a couple of hotdogs in a pan on the stove and passed out. It was unbelievable the amount of smoke that two burning hotdogs could create.
  12. That's what they make hand trucks for. Keeps guys from being crippled up when they get older.
  13. Hey, I bought a little thingy that holds up to five eggs and boils them (from really soft to hard), poaches them, and makes several other dishes, and is so simple even I can use it. Cost me about $25.00 IIRC and I use it maybe once week.
  14. I have, in my long ago past, fired Boyes and Lahti antitank rifles using surplus ammo. Both were fairly accurate at 100-200 yards, maybe out to 350, but not much further. Not very impressive. Some outfit in Florida was selling them for a song and a few us got the money together to buy the guns and ammo (Hey! Great name for a magazine.) An Air Force brat in the bunch bought both of them when we ran out of ammo.
  15. The cross arm of a power pole about 1k from my garage door, covers both x and y axis.
  16. Honey and real butter are the only things that will make me eat peanut butter. PB is supposed to be good for you, too.
