What cowboy/old west type magazines do you read and recommend? My preference is for something that discusses the historical west and associated cowboys, as opposed to something focused on modern day cowboys and ranch life. Cholla Posted December 25, 2023 Share Posted December 25, 2023 GUNS used to have an Old West annual but it was cancelled this year. You can buy past issues on the GUNS website. I often write about guns used in the Old West in GUNS. Upcoming topics will include the 1885 Winchester, the 1866 Winchester, Eibar “Colts”, Premium Guns as in free as a gift for using products, and others. Taffin always covers something SA-related. Mike Venturino often covers some sort of Old West guns, and there is a host of others. They just had an article about the Freedom Arms revolver a month or so ago.
