Trainwreck, SASS #104592 Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Looking for an original Winchester 1887 12 gauge in good, or better, condition. I would prefer one that has been modified to drop 2 by Fireball but that's not a critical requirement. Please PM me if you have one available.
Jedediah Westwood Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 I've been trying to get my hands on one too. I think they are unicorns and don't exist. That being said, if you find a few let me know.
Injun Ryder, SASS #36201L Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 I have a 12 gauge manufactured in 1897. It has been completely gone through by a gunsmith. The forcing cone has been lengthened for modern shells. Otherwise it is unmodified. Includes butt cover and lever wrap. $1750 plus shipping.
Jedediah Westwood Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Im assuming you would need to shoot black powder out of it due to the year it was built. Also, Pictures for drooling purposes?
The Original Lumpy Gritz Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 All orginal 12ga 1887's are for BP only.
Injun Ryder, SASS #36201L Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Pics as requested: Trainwreck - FYI, I shot with The Cowboys and the Cajon Cowboys for many years so some of the members know me well.
Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Not for sale ever but here’s my 1887 made in 1888 done by Fireball and was actually his backup. One of my most coveted cowboy guns.
Reverend P. Babcock Chase Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Hey Trainwreck, If you're planning on starting to shoot an '87, you have the right alias. Don't ask me how I know. Rev. Chase
Cheyenne Logan 5279 Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 https://adelbridge.com/product/winchester-1887-12ga/ No affiliation with this shop, other than being a customer. Seems like a pretty good buy.

Loved that store and town! Worked the Parent company of Modern Metals Manufacturing and spent a week there working and then saw their local high school football game, Renaissance festival and Cabelas! Great time!
