Alpo
Would you consider Auburn to be in LA? Looking at the map it is slightly below center line, but to me it doesn't say "lower". In my football question the team in the story is Auburn. And somebody in the comments made a reference to them being in LA. So I had to pull up the map, because, like I say, it just doesn't look lower to me. Dothan is lower. Hell, we call the Florida panhandle Lower Alabama, like Texas is referred to as Baja Oklahoma. But Auburn?

Alpo
Going off on a tangent, I've been told that in Georgia they consider you a Yankee if you come from North of the Macon/Dixon line. Rolan had trouble with Bea's Mama because of that.

Alpo
That is a local term. To us in this vicinity of the country, LA means Lower Alabama.
LawMan Mark, SASS #57095L
No. Auburn is not in Lower Alabama. Auburn and Montgomery are in middle Alabama. Lower Alabama (at least to me) means the counties along Florida and the Gulf of Mexico.
Alpo
Farthest north I ever go is Phenix City (otto keeps putting an O in there), then turning right for Jawjah. Never made it as high as Auburn.
