I spent the better part of the day reviewing and selecting a new Medicare plan . My old plan dropped some of the things I needed most and went up on co-pays for specialists and physical therapy.

I’m exceedingly grateful that I don’t have to do that every day!!!

At least I got to have a good meal afterwards.  Schoolmarm treated us both to a late lunch at Red Lobster.  Lonster, scallops, and shrimp along with mac and cheese and seasoned rice!

STILL!!  I hate this Medicare stuff enough that I’m aggravated with dealing with it this morning!!!

We just finished dealing with it too. Had to figure out and decide on a new supplemental. Like dental:angry: that costs more than what they cover by a couple hundred bucks!

Next time you go to red Lobster take me along.  I don't much care for lobster, but most of the rest of their meals are excellent...and I can eat their biscuits by the peck.

This is the first year that I put up the outside Christmas lights while wearing a short-sleeved shirt. Normally it's -20.

My grandson is visiting this weekend!!

Hard ta’ stay grumpy when he’s around!!

He and his brother and Hatfield are going to pick up a small pickup, tomorrow, that will be his first vehicle!  He turns 16 the middle of next month and an uncle has given him this little truck.

We’ll do a little bit of fixing up on it and he’ll not have to depend on others to get him where he needs to be!!

BUT!!  There’s chores to do and breakfast to make and all the aggravatin’ news ta’ sift through!!

GET OUT FROM UNDER FOOT AND LET ME GET ON WITH IT!!

NOW!!!  GET OFF THE LAWN !!!

Wellllll!  Took the trip to town this morning to see the foot doctor.

The interstate was blocked with a traffic accident and the two back ways were both congested with the overflow traffic and

somebody dropped an idiot bomb right in the middle of it!!

When we got into town, the nitwits were out in even greater numbers!  It took us thirty-five minutes to go twenty blocks on a five lane street!

Schoolmarm wasn’t feeling very well and decided she needed to make a run for the restroom.  NOT GOOD!!

I went on into the doctor’s, half an hour late.  Doc walked in and took a look at my foot, decided that he needed to slice off a chunk of the new meat that that vacuum machine had encouraged to grow.  After he got through and bandaged the foot back up, he informed me that he is retiring at Christmas and that some of his staff will be taking over his patient list.

I’d planned to meet a feller to look at a desk that I want for my gun/reloading room, but he texted me that he was not going to be there and that he’d be out of town ‘til next week. That meant that I would have to wait around ‘til lunchtime for the meal that me ‘n’ Schoolmarm were planning on having at our favorite Italian restaurant.  That wasn’t happening either, so we just came on home.

Ain’t one damned thing went right all day!!

GRRRRRRUMMMMP!

(yeah, this is frustrating, but if you look at it the right way, it’s one of those “you might as well laugh” situations!!

Gave blood today.

Blood pressure cuff's velcro was worn out and wouldn't hold.

I suggested duct tape, but none anywhere around.

Computer kept restarting, which delayed processing me in by about a half hour.

Stopped on the way home and got the wife a mint mocha and a brownie, she was most pleased until her stomach told her she'd made a serious mistake, no appetite for lunch and not much for supper.

Phone won't charge peacefully.

Neither threatening gestures, menacing looks nor profanity are of any help in that department.

I laid down for a nap after my day's adventures and come off the bed like I'd been Clap Boarded across the backside when the neighbor's wife come over and hit the door bell, asking for my help to get her TV started back up.

At least her Rottweiler was glad to see me.

I’ve been straitening up in my “gun room” while I’m down with the foot problem.  It’s starting to shape up now that some of the clutter is gone and the shelves have been shored up.

SO! I started planning and figuring out how to make it work better for me.  I’ve located an old solid wood desk that has nine drawers and is open in the middle on front and back.  It’ll hold the blue 750 press that I won a couple of years back and haven’t had the time to set up as well as my RCBS for the brass shell reloading dies and stuff.

It’s big enough with all those drawers that I can store and organize the tools and many of the small components I’ve accumulated that are spread out over the house and the shop.  It’s still small enough to fit in the room and leave me with space to get around in there.

The bad part of all this is that now I gotta do all the work involved in making it happen!  Seems like I’m always making more work for myself!! <_<

No smileys here, but in the process of straightening and sorting, I discovered 2,100 Federal large pistol primers, 3,000 Cheddite 209s, 1,000 S&B large pistol primers, a pound of Accurate #5, and 8# of International Clays that I’d forgotten that I had!!

I didn’t smile, but I’m trying not to giggle too loud! <_<

I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Two nights ago, Schoolmarm didn’t sleep very well and, yesterday, she was not very nice to be around!!

I informed her that she was being ill tempered and that I was going to initiate her into the GOFWG!

She owns, and often carries, guns and she can be way too crotchety at times!

I respectfully submit that, while she doesn’t frequent the Wire or the Saloon, she is of the age and meets all of the other criteria.

THEREFORE! I declare Shotgun Schoolmarm to be a member of GOFWG!!!
