Wrist breaker 53985 Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 Looking to buy a used replica winchester 1876 carbine in .45-60. Thanks i found some thing different.
Turquoise Bill, SASS #39118 Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 I don't believe the repros were ever offered in a saddle ring carbine configuration. Cimarron offers one in the Crossfire Trail Configuration https://www.cimarron-firearms.com/products/long-guns.html?caliber=5754 Taylors offers one in a 26" barrel length, no saddle ring carbines https://taylorsfirearms.com/long-guns/cartridge-rifles/1876-centennial-rifle.html TB
cowrustler Posted October 5, 2021 Posted October 5, 2021 I think the Cimarron carbine is an 1876 SRC replica. Their photo only shows one side but most every carbine in that era was a SRC.
Asa Smith Posted October 5, 2021 Posted October 5, 2021 Good luck hunting, Wrist Breaker! This is a Cimarron "Crossfire Trail" model. It is not for sale, just eye candy for those who haven't seen one. Asa
Wrist breaker 53985 Posted October 5, 2021 Author Posted October 5, 2021 Thank you for sharing the photos. Did you buy new or used?

Mt.Zion Yellowboy, SASS #44074 Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 A lot of coin but there is orig on gunbroker
T.K. Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 I got one too. Awesome gun. Bought it new, would never sell. I knew I had to have one when I saw Tom Selleck blow that bad guy out of his boots in Crossfire trail ! Good Luck, Pards!

Had the front sight replaced by Lee Shaver and added a Lyman #2 tang sight. Shoots great at 100 yards! It is my "Deer" gun, feels good carrying it in the woods. Good luck and BTT Asa
Bailey Creek,5759 Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 You could purchase a used 76 and cit it down to Carbine length .

That would just make a short rifle. The '76 carbine is actually a full-stock rifle with a 22" round barrel. Some folks mistakenly call it a musket, since the'66 or '73 with a full stock is called a musket.
Wild Willi Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 I looked for a long tim until I found my Cimarron "Crossfire Trail" . It is in 45-75 Winchester however and ammo has all but dryed up. I would for sure get 45-60
Nimble Fingers SASS# 25439 Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 I bought Smokedawg’s rifle, just got it from UPS, was supposed to arrive before 7pm got it at 8:59! But his description was right on and he got it out to me quickly! Good man to do business with. Now all I need is an 1895 to complete my Winchester lever collection thru 94. Thanks Smokedawg!
