Ricochet Roy, SASS #71853 Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Howdy Pards, I have decided to part with my NIB Winchester/Miroku 1886 chambered in 45.90. This rifle has the deluxe pistol grip stock and 24 inch octagon barrel. From what experts have told me a 45.90 chambered rifle will also accept 45.70 ammo. I am the original owner and I have never fired this Awesome rifle. This rifle also includes the original box and one of my soft pigskin lined extensively tooled stock covers featuring my period correct "Cody" style hand tooling design in "Coffee Brown", as well as one of my one inch thick custom crescent shaped internal rubber recoil pads, and of course one of my lever wraps. The leather and recoil pad upgrades alone is valued at $483.00 (my Ricochet Roy's Old West Custom Leather everyday price). Please, no trades or other offers. Total Price for everything mentioned including shipping within the lower 48 is $2,195.00. Please make sure that your local FFL will accept shipment directly from me. 11/6/21: Price lowered to 2,095.00 including shipping to the lower 48. 11/25/21: I would consider a partial trade for an un-molested Ruger Old Model Vaquero chambered on 44.40, any barrel length, Blue CC or Stainless. The first "I'll Take It" posted here gets it. May thanks, Ricochet Roy
Kid Rich Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 What is the suggested bullet weight and profile for that '86. Just wondering if it an "express rifle" or will shoot the heavier bullets. kR
Ricochet Roy, SASS #71853 Posted October 1, 2021 Author Posted October 1, 2021 I'm not an expert on such. I have a good friend in Montana that tells me this that gun can handle any factory loaded ammo. I would check with Winchester directly on any special hand loads. As for bullet weight, that would be up to the shooter's preference weather it be target shooting and distance shooting, or a hunting bullet and particular game.
Texas Lizard Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 If I did not already have one would be looking harder... Texas Lizard
Michigan Slim Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Buy this rifle..... Or keep my testicles attached..... Decisions decisions!
Kid Rich Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Some of the longer bullets may not feed in it. Just wondering if it has an OAL max listed. kR
The Original Lumpy Gritz Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Look up the information on the .45-90 Express loading that Winchester used for the rife. It is not intended for the heavy long bullets used in single shot rifles. OLG
Marshal TKD, Sass # 36984L Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 This rifle has a 1 in 20 twist. A friend who had one in 45-70, same twist, said his rifle shot real well with 350 grain Bullets.
Ricochet Roy, SASS #71853 Posted October 2, 2021 Author Posted October 2, 2021 Many thanks for the information Pard.

Irish Pat Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Roy, I have a Browning 86 with a pistol grip like yours. How much for a lever wrap? Irish ☘️ Pat

Yul Lose Posted November 25, 2021 Posted November 25, 2021 Why don’t you trade me it for the gun cart you always wanted?
