DeaconKC Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Well, Tuesday I am getting my left arm worked on. Carpal tunnel and nerve damage in the elbow area. So they are going to do both at the same time. They say it will stop deterioration and hopefully will restore full use. Will be off work for at least 2 weeks and no lifting over 5 pounds til the end of October. See you guys in a couple days as when I get anesthetized I usually drool on myself the rest of the day!
watab kid Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 please know this is something im seeing more often here , wrists - shoulders - elbows - knees , i wish you the best of luck and recommend you follow the doctors directions to the letter , the shoulder is the worst im seeing ,
Pat Riot Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Good Luck DeaconKC. I need similar work done in my right wrist. Going to see another hand specialist tomorrow. I was actually scheduled for my surgery in July 2019, but a young lady hit me with her car while riding my bike on the freeway. Kind of had to put things off a bit. I will say a little prayer for you.
Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 One of my fellow nurses had both wrists done for carpal tunnel. Afterward she had full use, no problems, she absolutely loved the outcome! Here's hoping you'll have a similar success! (I tend to hedge my bets. I'll be standing up on my knees for you as well as throwing good thoughts your way!)
Rye Miles #13621 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Good luck, hope you recover quickly!!
DeaconKC Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 Thanks, heading out in a few minutes to the hospital.
Perro Del Diablo Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Prayer for full quick recovery. Since you are limited to five pounds lifting means you wont be able to order an Australian beer.
