Gunbutcher
Did the name of the catagory come from the way a duel would be shot? That is what I have always imagined. How about the name "Honor Guard". We would follow our own Code Duello. Defending our honor. Just a thought that the name doesn't need to include shoot, pistol, or the catagory name. Dorado
What do we do about the pins? Hand? Glove? Pistol? Hand holding Pistol? Since we've got voting on the name running, we might as well get some going on the pin. If y'all got any ideas I can get another poll going. I'd like a few options to vote from. Feel free to toss some out.

Deacon Henry, SASS #53503L
You may find something here for pins. I couldn't copy what I found on these sites. Conchos but could be pins? Pat Riot
Perhaps crossed Dueling Pistols? https://www.zazzle.com/crossed_pistols_black_pin-256114398526892452 You can customize the background color n this one. They have 2 others, one with a silver background and one with a maroon background. They are sterling silver. Scroll down a bit: https://www.zazzle.com/pistol+lapel+pins I also found this - crossed dueling pistols again - http://militarybest.com/pn14236.html I cannot find any lapel pins with a single Single Action revolver that isn't lame...oh, wait: Made in England: https://www.tiesplanet.com/accessories-c3/lapel-pin-badges-c60/antique-revolver-pistol-pewter-lapel-pin-badge-p10874 Here is a Cravat pin along the same lines: https://www.etsy.com/listing/294414603/antique-colt-45-revolver-lapel-stick-pin?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=antique revolver cravat pin&ref=sr_gallery_1

Dorado
Since we shoot only one gun at a time, I think that a single pistol would be best otherwise it starts looking like gunfighter pins. I found this one. It's a vintage Colt lapel pin. We could see if we could get something simple like this made. Cast out of brass or pewter. Pat Riot
http://www.ebay.com/itm/G17-Antique-Revolver-Pistol-Pewter-Lapel-Pin-Badge-XTSPBG17-/252915048248?hash=item3ae2e95f38:g:jkoAAOSwONBZCKNO I did a search on the actual manufacturer of these pins but they only appear on Ebay and Etsy from various sellers. Funny, the same pins on Amazon are $20. I could not find the manufacturer listed anywhere. Just a thought
Dorado
It shouldn't be that hard to have some new ones made. I've looked online at a few places and it's not too awful bad, around $3 each. Problem is that it'd require a 100 piece minimum purchase.

That'd be the easiest thing. I was thinking the same thing. Then instead of a couple designated people being responsible for the pins, we could just pass the link to the pin along. 1 hour ago, Rye Miles #13621 said: How long do ya think it would take to get 100 members??? dal sackett
I have been shooting duelist for as long as I have been shooting handguns.. Started shooting standing sideways with hand on hip. When I started CAS, I shot duelist as it was the "natural" way albeit the fast shooters all used two hands. So, I tried two handed and quite quickly realized why I shoot one handed: Arthur's itis has rendered my left thumb unreliable. So duelist I was, am, and will be. Whatever we call ourselves, I'm all in.
