Where's the grease?

 

Couple of pounds of bacon. Couple of pounds of hamburger.

 

Ought to be at least a cup, and probably more, of mixed melted pig and cow fat.

 

What was that last thing he added? Sounded like he said ONION to me, but it sure didn't look like any onion I've ever seen. That thing to give it "a nice crunch".

Likely he poured off the grease before showing the de-panning.

 

The onion, I would bet, are something like Durkee Fried Onions.
