Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
Because of Duty roster math, I did not pull a lot of KP, but I preferred pots and pans duty.

Sparky Nelson
Why are they always Special Forces or some such? Never "Yeah, I was in. Drove a garbage truck for 4 years." That's like back when all the New Agers were into hypnosis and past life regression. They always remembered being princesses and knights and nobles of all stripe. None of them ever woke up and said, "I was a scullery maid and died of VD in 1804."

When I pulled KP, I preferred to peel potatoes... Cause a machine peeled them all I had to do was pour em in!
guitar_slinger
My first boss told me the key to happiness and success is to: realize the world is full of them, then learn how to spot them and avoid them. He was a smart man.

Yep we got them on the reservation all the time. Their ancestors were always War Chiefs, Princesses’, Medicine Men, etc. Now me, My Great Great Great Great, Great grandfather was the stable boy on the Mayflower. El Paso Bob, SASS # 71572
I was an MP and damn proud of it. Went in Army in 1974. Too young for Vietnam and too old for Desert Storm. Suits me right down to the ground
Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
My MOS was 03C20. Other than Utah Bob, who else knows what it was. Was because it is no longer used.
Bugs Bonney SASS # 10171
I spent four years polishing firetrucks, sweeping firehouse floors, washing firehose, picking stones out of firetruck tires, and once degreasing grease fittings under the truck because they were greasy. A total waste of time.

Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
I was assigned this MOS after basic and had it for the 2 years I was in. O3C20 was a "Physical Activities Specialist" . I had played college football & baseball and was assigned to Special Services. Played football & baseball for 4th Army and life guard in swimming pool in off season. No such MOS anymore and I am pretty sure no more Special Services either. Like I said to my wife..."somebody had to do it"! She told me that all I did was hand out jock straps LOL.
