Winter project

Recommended Posts

I have an 1862 produced 1851 Colt Navy. It needs a little help for it's new life as a sometime CAS shooter.

Where is a parts source?

Brownells has a few, depends on what you are looking for.

Turner Kirkland, the founder of Dixie Gun Works, was a serious collector of antique guns, before it was

fashionable to be a collector of antique guns. They probably have more parts than anybody, and most

are probably original manufacture.

S&S Firearms

Lodgewood MFG LTD

Both places are huge sources for Civil War era firearm parts.

I have done business with both places and I found them easy to work with and very knowledgeable. I find that S&S carries a lot of reproduction parts for original firearms and Lodgewood carried a lot of original parts. Like I said, both good to do business with.
