Dimpled Darlin' and I are on the list. The only one we've missed was our son's wedding. Mama and the rest of the family would not understand.

Looks like I won't be making it to this one.... I'm getting married on the 25th.

We'll miss you. Sure sounds like a lame excuse though :P

Best wishes!

We'd love to have you, Matthew!! It's always good to see new faces!!!! And, Ugly, it'd be great to see you here again too - we've missed you here in Milan lately!!!!

On a sadder note, I wanted to point out to everybody that we have added Bookworm Sandy to our main match sponsorship page. So if anybody would like to honor her by pledging an amount to our main match sponsorship, please just let me know. You can email me at sisandta@gmail.com. Thanks so much.

We only have 92 folks signed up so far so please get those applications in soon!!!!!!!

Kids are married off and life's travails have leveled out...application is in the mail!

Any Cowpokes that can answer my questions would be appreciated:

I see the State of Illinois doesn't recognized Indiana's or Utah's carry permits. Any other unreasonable laws I should be aware off?

Hampton Inn & Suites. Might be easier to haul cased guns to room without a spread eagle up against the wall? Noise from the airport?

Jumer's Hotel & Casino. Harder to haul cased guns to room?

Matthew:

If you'd, like you can store your guns at my trailer and not have to worry about getting them into the hotels at all.

CS

I appreciate the offer, let me think about it.

Leaving my carry pistol at home will make me feel weird. Not having something available in the hotel room would make me feel naked.

Matt, The airport shouldn't be a problem. There are not that many flights a day. There would be a little more activity at Jumer's because of the casino. Driving? Illinois State police, county, and city officers hit the Interstate hard for speeding. Also, if you are driving and have spare time, you should try to visit the Rock Island Arsenal. They have a Confederate soldier cemetery. The Rock Island Arsenal Museum originally opened to the public on July 4, 1905, the museum is the second oldest U.S. Army museum. The primary mission of the museum is to portray the history of Rock Island Arsenal and Arsenal Island. The museum is well known for its significant weapons collection.

Matthew,

It takes me a little over 4 hours to drive to the Pass when I push straight through, and I live about 15 minutes from the range into Iowa. Not sure where home is for you, but it's interstate all the way if you're considering driving, and Illinois just changed to 70mph. A gun in the closed console with the ammo beside it has been ruled by the Illinois Supreme Court to be a legal method of transport. Cased and unloaded guns are not a problem. When you see our range setup, you'll be comfortable leaving your match guns with the Count. I'll be at the Pass for the IBPG match and will be happy to answer any questions.

It will be good to see you over here!

Or the steak dinner.

I may try to come but another baby is on the way.

*Yes, we know what causes it.

btt - Still haven't hit 100 apps yet - I promise all the snow and cold weather will be gone by then. And there is no way we can have another rain out like last year. We are definitely due a good weather year - I'm already saying my prayers!!!!!!

Well, got the important thing taken care of (motel reservation), as soon as the money comes in at the end of the month my application will be in the mail. Looking forward to meeting up with old friends and reprobates. Yeah, that's you T.A. :)
