Passing of my Pard Indiana Slick

Please pray for our best Pard Indiana Slick & his family as he has passed on this day.

We were able to spend time with him last evening. We even had some laughs. He said the only way is the COWBOY WAY! He will be sadly missed.

I feel very weird. I talked to Furball and asked about Slick and Troy said that he was heavily sedated and 20 minutes after hanging up Furball called me back and told me that Slick had passed. There are a lot of folks that were touched by this Elder Statesman and I was one of the fortunate to know this man.

Troy and Sis were with Slick for a couple of hours last night and Troy pinned a Texas Ranger badge on him and told him if any of the nurses gave him trouble to just point to the badge.....Slick got a kick out of that....Cowboy to the end.

I'll miss him a lot.

Indiana Slick's spirit will forever be around. He was passionate about this sport and shared his passion with so many. I enjoyed shooting many matches with him over the past few years. In particular the past 3 as I got to know Slick and his granddaughter Bullseye Jane. RIP Slic!k

Indiana Slick was a True Grit type Cowboy.

Just a few months ago when it was super hot out, Slick

came to Cutter's Raiders and shot all 5 stages in long

sleeves and duelist style. Never a single complaint.

He so loved this sport and the people.

We are so going to miss him.

Many prayers will follow for Slick's family....

Thank you Slick for the time you shared with us.......

A very nice service last night. Montana did a great job speaking. I've known Slick for 4 years and found out his step-daughter and her husband have been friends of mine for 20 years, we both shared a love for White Castle hamburgers, and Slick was a hell of lot larger man than I all ready knew he was. RIP my friend.

Furball captured the escense of Slick. It was a true tribute to Larry and his love of the sport, family and life. It was good to see approx. 10 cowboys in full dress.

There I was at Guns of August

Temperature in the low 100s.

With a great deal of imagination you felt a puff of a breeze, maybe once.

I was beginning to wonder if I was going to make it thru all 6 stages Saturday.

Whoosh! There went Indiana Slick pushing his cart to the next stage!

If a elder cowpoke who was told the chemotherapy wasn't working could shoot in those weather conditions, I should suck up the gut and keep shooting!

Indiana Slick was a partner I was proud to ride the trail with.
