Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
OKLAHOMA IS A STATE? When did that happen? 1907 must have been a slow year. Are you and Okie able to talk this morning? Excitement runs high in Stillwater, I suppose. Think back Badger. It was during your senior year! Yep 07 was slow except on Feb 7th this happened: - The Mud March was the first large procession organized by the National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies (NUWSS). Don't know bout Okie but I can hold my head high today...mainly cause its hurts otherwise. SBB, that stampede I understand happened when somebody kicked over a spit cup! Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381
OSU drastically cut into Bama's poll lead. It all comes down to the computer side now. It'll be close, but Bama will get the nod according to Squeaky.

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Now OSU only has one (1) goal post. How are they going to play another game? Run down to the other end of the field to kick extra points and field goals? They sure do strange things in Oklahoma.
Professor Tull, SASS #66742
Appears that way BCS 1. LSU 2. Alabama - .9419 3. OSU - .9333 4. Stanford 5. Oregon 6. Arkansas 7. Boise State 8. KSU 9. S. Carolina 10. Wisconsin Even though OSU has beaten more ranked opponents than the Tide, the loss to ISU really hurt them. LSU/Tide for the championship - hope it is a better game than the first one - which was good, just boring. Tull
Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381
Man, ever so close. Congrats to Bama and Tigers fans. They are going to announce the other BCS bowls in a minute. I hope OSU plays #4 Stanford.

Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381
All of these teams got screwed out of the BCS Bowls. 6. Arkansas 7. Boise State 8. KSU 9. S. Carolina #1 LSU vs. #2 Bama -- Championship Bowl -- Great Matchup #3 OSU vs. #4 Stanford -- Fiesta Bowl -- Great Matchup #5 Oregon vs. #10 Wisconsin -- Rose Bowl -- Excellent Matchup #15 Clemson vs. #23 WVU -- Orange Bowl -- Well that sucks #11 VT vs. #13 Michigan -- Sugar Bowl -- And they bypass #6, 7, 8, and 9, which obviously looks like 'which fans will fill up the stadium' to me. The BCS still leaves a lot to be desired from my view in the saddle.

Last time I looked VT and Michigan were not in the SEC, they may want to be, but are not there yet. It should have been Arkansa or Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. The Rose Bowl is also a bowl reserved for a conference champion. Just my thoughts.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Oregon and Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl is correct. Both won the conference title. Oregon beat Stanford and they both have the same conference record. I'm thinking that will be a good game. That Michigan/Virginia Tech match up leaves me thunking. Lot of much better football to be had than that matchup. But I suspect $$$$ are the motivation. I read on the Fox Sports web site that they are already rethunking the BCS format for 2012. I would thunk they could come up with a lot better program. Who knows maybe we will get to a play off type championship. Personally, I think it was ok the way it was. Before the $$$$ got involved and the players got suckerpunched. Why not enjoy football for what it is, a fun GAME.
Charlie Harley, #14153
I wonder if the BCS powers will ever realize that they'd make just as much money, and probably more, if they went to a 4-team championship series. Stanford/LSU and Alabama/OSU. Then the winners play for it all.
Klondike SASS Life #29713
Now Bama and LSU have candidates up for the Hiesman. I doubt either one gets it, but they did make it to an elite group.
Captain Bill Burt
So, January 9th 8:30 pm eastern we find out who gets bragging rights for the rest of the year and who is buying lunch at Doc Holliday's? I predict the winner will be an SEC fan who favors crimson and hounds tooth. Bon apetit!

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
As bad as the BCS really is, there are some pretty good match ups for some of the later bowl games. Some of the smaller schools will be playing this week end, but then next week it gets busy.
