Cherokee Charlie Regulator #4967
I am going to expand my sidematch to 8 targets in 2011. If Quigley agrees to let me write the rules this is how it will be run: 1. two spinning targets-two rams, two turkeys, two pigs and two chickens 2. 35 yds distance. 3. we need a well built wooden shooting table that is ambidextrious.(any volunteers over there in Alabama??????) 4. we start with thegun loaded and cocked and on target for the first shot. 5. targets will be painted after every 3rd or 4th shooter or whenever a shooter requests that they be painted 6. I won it and I bought it plaques will be awarded 7. there will be a men's and a ladies and catagory 8. If I left off anything write it in and I will add it. Badlands Bob #61228
35 yards....Hmmmm. Better recalibrate my rifle. Ammo testing with charts for barometric pressure, spin drift, temperature changes, wind and global spin. Good thing I've got 11 months to work on this. Marshal Dan Troop 70448
What's slobber in the chamber got to do with accuracy? Wind direction,(its either away from you, or toward you), barometric pressure, (the drop rate), temperature (how fast it evaporates, can also be checked by drool left on chin or if wind is toward you, Don't wipe off until temperature check can be determined). Global spin ( can be checked by were it landed on boot top, and determined angle from droppage). The spit method is very accurate if closely adhered to. Slobber is used only by BP on their patch around their bullet, then seated on top of the BP in the chamber or barrel. MT
Birdgun Quail, SASS #63663
What's slobber in the chamber got to do with accuracy? It's like a spit ball in baseball. Near misses blinds the bad guys with the slobber. I thought everybody knew that!
