  2. There's no way for me to know what people know or don't know. The question is built on the premise for those who have tried this type match and to get their input. If you don't know and your interested, research is available and free online.
  3. Short answer is ...Yes.... Texas Lizard
  4. They forgot to put up a dinosaur crossing sign.
  5. I had an 8 cylinder Studebaker Lark convertible in college. Not only a chick magnet, it had reclining seats! Reasonably fast as well.
  6. Who else remembers HBOs "Sniglets"? They had people sending in ideas eor words that didn't exist but should. That's where "spork" came from.
  7. That would have probably made me quit. Couple years ago, somebody - Hardpan most likely - posted either pictures or video of an Eagle ceremony. And I noticed, as they were shaking hands, that no one interlocked their fingers. I questioned this - when did they do away with that? And everyone assured me that I was losing my mind. That it had always been just a normal handshake but you did it with your left hand. No. You interlocked your little fingers when you shook hands. But if you read that article I linked on the 10th Scout Handbook, they mentioned that in that 72 to 79 period they changed it. It seems that every other Scout organization in the world shook hands normally, except they use their left hand. WE interlocked our little fingers. Well hell, we need to stop that. We need to do it like the rest of the world does. Boy, that sounds familiar. We use 45 but the rest of the world uses 9 mm, so we need to change to 9 mm. We use imperial and the rest of the world uses metric so we need to change to metric. We say Christmas is 12/25 while the rest of the world says it's 25/12. They haven't forced us to change that one --- yet. But they will.
  8. I used the RCBS stuck case remover to get a .223 case unstuck. It costs about $20.00. You have to drill and tap the primer hole but brass is soft and it's an easy process. A vise is almost required. I'd recommend using case lube on those bigger pistol cases next time.
  9. The above explanation is what I learned when I was a kid living in the New York/New Jersey area!! In that area, a “short” was a cool car, a hot rod, a low rider, or a custom of some sort. Mom’s “grocery getter” was a cage!
  10. Well, that's better than the six cylinder Studebaker LARKs our Police Service had at one time, as patrol and response vehicles.
  11. And many of our great "Thinkers' and "Planners" wonder why we have a housing crisis! Or why we have all these homeless in Vancouver and Victoria! HINT: It starts with not being as cold there in winter.
  12. Take a .45-70 case. Cut it back to the same length as a .45 Colt. Load it with 300 grain bullets. Would this be considered a pistol cartridge, and thus allow for the usage of some of those novelty huge revolvers, or even a Winchester 86 as main match guns? (Assuming that it could properly cycle through the action.) Even if it would not work in a repeating rifle, or be Main Match legal, it MIGHT make for a decent reduced power load in those big revolvers and single shot rifles. (In the planning stages for a long term project. Call it Cowboy Wildcatting.)
  13. I have always used an RCBS stuck case remover. Never had a problem removing s stuck case with it.
  14. @Gateway Kid SASS# 70038 Life she is 100%!!! Hugs! Scarlett
  15. I searched in our forum, and quickly found a post from last December that has the same answer, too. The search function takes a little practice to make it work for you. Since you want to see posts that talked about Stoeger choke tubes, I made my search terms in the search field (top of every forum frame) look for the terms "Stoeger + choke" Just a "Stoeger choke" search would require the two words to be found exactly next to each other to be shown as a match (not what most multi-word searches ought to do, but that is the way the Invision forum software has been programmed). So, you need a plus sign between terms that do not have to be exactly adjacent, but should be present somewhere in the same original post or any reply. good luck, GJ
  16. Ghost guns? I bought these without cap cylinders. They were lost sometime back. I tried to buy the frames and conversion cylinders separately but gunshop made me go through background check. They were on their books.
  17. Mad Dog Jack... Campers can come in Monday morning and must leave by Sunday evening. If you want to extend your vacation, there is a great campground in Morro Bay called Morro Bay State Park. It is right across from the Morro Bay harbor, and the harbor also boasts a super restaurant called Bayside Cafe. Campground has about 20 full hookups and about 60-70 other sites. There's also a dump station there. Campground fills up quickly so it's good to make your plans early. The State Park is about 7 miles from our range. Roger
  18. In Mr Deeds Goes To Town, he had a small part. Mr Deeds had decided to give away his money. He would buy this bunch of small farms. A house, a barn, I think it was 10 acres, a mule, a plow and a cow. And he would give these to farmers. And they had a certain amount of time to make a going farm out of it - one year, five years, I don't remember. But if the farm was a going concern by the time that that time period was up, the deed would be transferred to them. It would be their farm. Gabby was one of the farmers hoping to get a farm. So they're all there in the living room - Mr Deeds and his flunky and a hundred or so farmers. Deeds tells his flunky that he's hungry, and ask him to send down to the kitchen for some food. Gabby informs him that his wife had packed him some sandwiches, and opens up a sack and offers him one.
  19. Meaning no disrespect, the Sho Sho was KRAP!! Much like ASM, the replacement parts wouldn't fit and were worse than the parts that broke. And they ALL broke.
