Doc Hurd #12379 Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Has anyone tried Bearpaw grips on their Vaqueros and is the profile anything like the Eagle gunfighter grips? https://bearpawgrips.com/ Thanks, Doc
Major BS Walker Regulator Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Never heard of them but by what I can tell, they do not have grips for new Vaquero's. Hope yours are old model.
Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Eagle Reactiv, why not just go with the best plus Raj is an outstanding supporter of CAS.
Flat Top Okie Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Hi Doc, Mae and I use them and have for a very long time. They are completely different than Eagle or any other grip I have seen. You should call Jim Wilson, the man who makes them and ask him to explain his design. Flat Top
Red Rider Rudy Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Doc, I have some.I can bring them to a match.
Doc Hurd #12379 Posted December 6, 2023 Author Posted December 6, 2023 Thanks everyone for your replies and information! I have several sets of Eagle Gunfighter Grips and two sets of the new Eagle Reactiv grips on order. I was just curious about the Bearpaw grips because I like some of the fancy woods he uses.
Yank_MaChain Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 I've had 3 sets of custom grips done by Bearpaw and I would highly recommend them!! Yank
Trailrider #896 Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 I can't recall the gentleman's name...he took over from the original maker who passed many years ago. Before the OM Vaqueros came out, I shot a Freedom Arms .454 with Bearpaw grips that had a hump on the back like for a DA revolver. Boy howdy did they hurt! But, when shaped for SA, no problem. And they are superb grips!
