Aimed shots are better, IMHO

I tried slam firing but found it was a waste of ammo for me.

Maybe with a lot of practice, I could do it.

YMMV

I agree, with lots and lots of practice it may be faster. However, it’s definitely slower if you miss.

I know of several '97 wizards who slam fire.  One never misses, most of the others do occasionally.  One will typically have to fire at least one extra round per 4 target stage.

When I run a '97, it's aimed fire only.

Slam fire for me.......AND, I don't have a front bead on my 97.   The barrel is bare of any sights.

I agree, it does take some good practice to slam fire and be efficient.   But even 1 or 2 makeups in

a match is more than made up with speeds attainable by slam firing and being able to get

back to the belt for a reload in less than 1 second.

One of the secrets in flam firing is to make sure the SG has the right 'cant' for the shooters shoulder.

If the cant is off, the shooter will tend to shoot high, a little over the target.

..........Widder

There's a big difference in accuracy between loading them into the port and slam firing them like we do in CAS vs slam firing them out of the magazine like in battle or Wild Bunch.

I'm not too bad with either but accuracy suffers either way.
