Hoss Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Picked this up st gun show today. No msker on it. .32 centerfire. Folding trigger, Double/single action. Has a crown over M A Proof mark, and eitherva C or G offset from proofmark. Seller thought it was made in France, but was not sure. He said he shot it once. Gun appears to function perfectly. I’m a sucker for old pocket pistols, so could not resist for $180! correction. Not 32, I tried to load a 32SW, 2 big. Maybe 7MM or something? anybody know anything about it?

Major Crimes Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Anything similar to these proof marks? http://www.nramuseum.org/media/940944/proofmarks.pdf Anything I could find that looks similar yo yours is Belgian.
El Hombre Sin Nombre Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 I don’t know what it is, but I like it. Let me know first when you get tired of it and want your money back.

That one is very similar. Mine has a knurled screw head on left side for disassembly, octagonal barrel, and a post sight.
Trailrider #896 Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 There were a lot of these "bulldog" DA only revolvers made in Great Britain and Belgium. The quality (and hence the safety) of these guns varied from excellent to less safe than a kid's toy cap pistol. My late father brought one back after WWII. It was Belgian, and lacked a few parts. I was able to find enough to have it function, but have never attempted to shoot it.
Sedalia Dave Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Do a chamber cast and figure out the cartridge it takes, may help with the ID.
Sawhorse Kid Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Given the octagon barrel , it looks to be a Belgian made Bulldog.
grenadier Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Look for Leige markings on the rear of the cylinder
