Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 Just got my 73' back from Lefty Wheeler of Wheeler Gunworks out of Texas. I'm very impressed. His attention to detail is obvious. Excellent blend of a well tuned action along with reliability. While Lefty suggests the use of Federal or Winchester primers I have found it to be reliable with Fed, Win, S&B and CCI primers! Could not be happier. And no.........I don't get paid by Lefty, I just like giving credit where credit is due and this rifle is no exception.
The Original Lumpy Gritz Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 You're still a BORG! Can you give any details of just what he does and what is used to make the changes? OLG

That would be a good question for Lefty http://wheelergunworks.weebly.com
The Original Lumpy Gritz Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 May we know what you specified on the work order? He does have a nice site. OLG

Southpaw Gringo, SASS # 74217 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 I've felt his rifles before and man there smooth as glass. Deuce, what SS kit did you end up going with?

Cypress Sam, SASS #10915 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Nice video Duce! But then again you'd make a wheel-lock look fast. On the website, Lefty's hints were interesting also.
Mack Hacker, #60477 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 I would give the same endorsement as Deuce, but Lefty only agreed to perform his magic on our guns if Lefty Lin and I promised not to tell anyone. Watching us shoot is not quite the same as watching Deuce
Oklahoma Dee Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 ...Mack Hacker, Smooth is smooth...like whiskey.
Rooster Ron Wayne Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Nice rifle . I would call and ask you about it . But You seem to have a phone issue OR SOMETHING . We know were we stand . See you on the range .
