Trigger Mike Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 the school would not back down. Since I actually live in another district but had bought a house in their district so my kids could go there I decided to send them to the district we actually live in. The same child that stayed in trouble has not gotten into trouble in two weeks . My daughter is no longer being harassed by someone trying to make her a lesbian while the school watched and did nothing. My daughter had left band to get away from the girl but got back in band at the new school. They can not find anything negative to say. Schools need to learn that if a parent wishes they can find a way around their control. I had other on line choices as well if i had wanted. Next year they plan on a private school. Both are happier and relieved. My son who is not a hugger hugs me tight so I am happy.

Del Rio Pete Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Being a student is tough enough without being in a bad school or environment. Glad you had the desire and ability to do something about it. Your children will always remember how you stood up for them.
Lost Trail Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Always put the needs of your kids first. Well done from the sounds of it.
Tennessee Trapper Tom Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Well done. You're the kind of parent a child needs
