McCandless
Somehow in trades and such, I ended up with a pound of 1F powder. Can I use it in 12ga shotshells? At our distances, can I keep the same volume or will I need more??
Cowboy Rick, SASS #49739L
Best place to burn it up. Lots of sparks and flames CR

Snakebite
It will work. There might be a lot of fire out the barrel. If I had some 2F or 3F, I would blend them and use it that way. Same load volume wise. Snakebite
Warden Callaway
I've been using Grafs "Reenactor". It's probably corser than 1F. Goes BOOM real good.
Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329
It's my favorite shotgun powder. Puts on a great show! BOOM! --Dawg

Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
May find it won't meter well in modern equipment - if so, scoop it! Good luck, GJ
Warden Callaway
Here I am testing my new old New Ithaca 12 gauge hammer gun - made in 1899. The loads are Grafs Reenactor 1 oz shot with less volume of powder. I used fiber wads and roll crimp in plastic hulls. I may go to plastic wads to tighten the pattern. After the initial firing I patterned it and it shot about a 20" pattern at 15 steps.
Preacher Clint
I've been using it in shotshells since a pard gave me a pound to try. Almost no recoil at 4.0 cc of powder with a 4.0 cc of #8 shot and it reliably takes down all knockdowns for me.
