Cowboy Wedding Suit

Recommended Posts

I've been asked to officiate at a Cowboy wedding this June. This is going to be a dressy affair, but authentic.

I just started looking on-line for an appropriate frock coat and accoutrements; like those here:

Any suggestions for alternative sites/suppliers? I want to find a good quality get-up that I can use for other events, not a "costume quality" throw-away.

Gracias.

LL

Try:

http://www.westernemporium.com/western.php

or

http://www.gentlemansemporium.com/gentlemans.php

I've not bought from them, but I know of a few people who have and they were quite satisfied.

Hmmm....looking at both of them, they may be two different iterations of the same store.

There are a number of sites, as well as ebay, that sell high-quality retired rental tuxedo and formal clothes very inexpensively. I bought a tuxedo coat that looks very similar to reproduction frock coats for less than $30. I added a nice vest, a point collar shirt, a cravat tie, and pair of slacks, and I think it looks as good as the outfits the major cowboy shooting suppliers offer. Plus, it all cost me less than 100 bucks, and that includes a pair of boots.

We have purchased from Gentleman's Emporium and are very pleased with their merchandise and service.

I had a local seamstress make mine. It was about 1/3 the cost of one off the rack. Get a recommendation from a dry cleaning establishment on a good seamstress/tailor... Dry cleaners keep list for repairing clothes. The local folks will custom fit it to you.
