Nothing as embarrassing as having someones pet armadillo, with oozing sores all over it, start humping your leg. I mean, seriously, do you kick it, or just ignore the little fellow.

Kind of like the hard hat I have to wear on my construction site. It makes you hit your head on everything but if a load falls they can carry me to the morgue in it.

Here is Texas. We have Armadillo's everywhere.

We see them ALL the time.

See them as road kill pretty much everyday.

I have killed 3 this year in my yard because they always dig up the place.

Just don't let them pee on you and no problems.

Have caught live ones in the past. They don't see very good at all.

You can sneak up behind them and just grab there tail.

People don't eat them like they use to. But that was one thing I was told by old timers.

Is when cleaning them. Don't let the pee get on you. OR on the meat when cleaning.

Extra care is needed when cleaning a armadillo to eat.

People use to eat them. But not anymore. Have not heard of anyone eating one in

30 years.

I'm worried. I will have all of my pet armadillos tested for leprosy immediately :excl: I'd hate to have one get sick. :o;)

Armadillo is known as "Possum On The Hard Shell" in most of the fancy restaurants in Texas and Louisiana.

Hope I didn't offend anyone with that comment.
