Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 You're talking to one now, Whisk. (I could have shortened your name to Whis, but that would be 1. rude, 2. insulting, and 3. dangerous.)

Prescott Palmer Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I was lucky. Got a fix to my addiction last Sunday. Got a '92 Rossi, 45 cal with a brass (brass plating?) receiver. My 3rd '92 Rossi. The wife has put the brakes on she says for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Can anyone confirm if it is solid brass or plating over stainless steel?

Harvey Mushman Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Oh No! That's what I have. Any support groups for this? Now WB, just stop right there with identifying any support groups. I am perfectly happy with MY addiction~
Paladin Gun For Hire Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I am forming a support group. It will start with all members bringing one firearm at a time to each meeting they attend. These firearms will be kept in a secure location in my basement. By the end of treatment (in other words, when you have run out of guns) you will be cured of your addiction and no longer have the urge to buy or even own any firearms at all. When this occurs all firearms left will be considered as full payment for your cure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Badlands Beady Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I don't need a support group! I've got a High Wall coming in on Wednesday, and a gun show on Saturday. Yeehah!
Pit Bull Tex Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 My 357/38 92 is solid brass, not plated.Love the Brass 92s and 66s.I am still looking for another brass 92.Oh I got my fix with two SKB - S X Ss.They should be here tomorrow.
Prescott Palmer Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 How do you tell solid brass from plated other than scratching and magnets. Is this something you know from Rossi? Cause I read in another forum that it is brass over stainless and they say got that from Rossi, but I don't want to believe it. I also love all my Yellow levers 2 '66s, 1 big boy and one Henry 22 and now the Rossi. Am saving now for a stainless lightning in 45 cal.
