Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 And why would I want to do that, Joe? I do slow right well. Now Grizz might set a gun on fire. He is FAST.
Subdeacon Joe Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Wazzanatta U? You don't like to go through $500 worth of ammo in 2 minutes? What kind of American are you? Anyway?
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Ahhh, a slow American? An 8 round ebloc clip is about as fast as I can get. Even my Marlin goes slow....
Ketchum Quick, SASS #72923 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Wazzanatta U? You don't like to go through $500 worth of ammo in 2 minutes? What kind of American are you? Anyway? I sold my AR because it loved eating cases of ammo. I can relate! KQ
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 An aside note, I read somewhere about the number of rounds that were fired in WW II to cause an enemy casuality. IIRC it was somewhere around three thousand. With the advent of the 5.56 M 16 configuration, I am wondering about the correlation. Anybody got any information? I know that the Ordnance Department has a keen interest in how many rounds GI Joe fires in combat.
Muleshoe Bill SASS #67022 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 according to Mr.S Marshall, in Vietnam the number was 50,000 rounds per kill. There is no exact military number though that I know of
Subdeacon Joe Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 I sold my AR because it loved eating cases of ammo. I can relate! KQ That may be why I like bolt actions so much. And front stuffers.
Capt. James H. Callahan Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Don't think I'd let him near my AR! JHC
Badlands Bob #61228 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 And the scientific test was to see how many rounds it takes to set your aftermarket hand guards on fire? And for dramatic effect, lets throw the overheated rifle into a mud puddle and see what happens. I think I'm missing something here.....
Utah Bob #35998 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 This kid thinks he and his buddies have invented torture tests for firearms. Well....keeps them off the streets I suppose.

Smoken D Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Anyone behind an M-60 knows. Thank goodness I didn't have ta pay fer the ammo
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 He77 I even saw them burn the stock on an M1 Grand in a night firing exercise. They were shooting tracers however. Maybe we have started a new craze among the crazies. Burn up your rifle and deplete you ammunition supply in one sweep.
