Calico Mary Posted May 26, 2012 Share Posted May 26, 2012 Anything fun planned this weekend folks? I got nothing but w%^k, I need to live vicariously thru you all. Well, now that the hockey game is over (can't believe they counted that goal!), we're heading to bed, got a busy weekend planned. Tomorrow morning we're loading up the trailer, and heading for Byers. While Buick is at set up, I'm going to get started on sewing the binding on the back of the quilt. Got the machine stuff done earlier. After set up we'll be having dinner and hanging out with Gingles, Miss Tida, Slippery Rock Bass, and Riverboat Annie. Don't know if Luther and Lady will be there, Josie and Cutter won't be, and I don't think Sonora and Vaquero will be either. Sunday Buick will be off shooting, and I'll get more done on the quilt while (hopefully) watching the Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600, especially opening ceremonies, always special for Memorial weekend. Josie and Cutter just gave us a little tv for the trailer, I sure hope it works! Then on Monday I have to get busy working on a new saloon girl outfit so I'll have something to where if I go to Casino Night at the State shoot. I had to give my other two outfits to Prairie Blossom Rose, I gained too much weight to fit in them anymore, but they look good on her. Will probably bbq something on Monday night, not sure what yet. I got the mowing done tonight, and have the second load of laundry in, and the power company hopefully will turn the juice back on for Miz Grizz down there. No sure if I'll head south tomorrow or not, I might just sleep all day. Other than try to get that house down there ready to sell, nothing is on my list. Don't know about watching the races out in Byers, but who knows. Hope you have some really good rabbit ears. We had adopted a cat three months ago to be a buddy for my cat. Long story short, she didn't work out. She wanted to be an only cat and was really mean to my cat. She was very sweet to us though. I had to return her to the adoption agency today. It was a difficult thing to do but I think it was for the best for everyone involved. Hopefully, we'll find the right buddy for him soon. Momma recovered from yesterday, I cut grass and I thought I was mowing a hay field, but it was fun. Sun was out, but no surf. Going to take some flowers to the folks tomorrow, Then a party on Monday. You just wait, I will get you back for that.... And Hawk, while I think the whole "cloud of smoke" thing looks cool, I shoot bad enough when I can actually see the targets! I usually end up low enough on the score sheets as it is, no need to put myself any farther down. Plus, there is the little detail of my hubby is the one that loads the ammo and cleans the guns, I think he has enough work to do to take care of me now. All I really do in return is make and iron his shirts. I'm already getting the way better end of that deal! Kris, I'm sorry things didn't work out with the cat, but think of it this way, if the cats weren't getting along, they will probably both be much happier this way. The one you tried to adopt will be more content in a household where she is the only furbaby, and your original cat will be better off with a friend he can trust not to pick on him. Don't know that I slept too well after that, but it was nice. I got video's of the Fillys too! Well, laundry is folded, need to go to Walmart and pick up some soap and other stuff, wheee, walmart is not my favorite place.
