PTR bought machinery and blueprints from an HK licensee in Portugal and starting making them when HK stopped making the 91. All the reviews I've read think they're as good or better than the HK. Can't say as I've never owned a real HK. Some of the parts they use are supposedly HK surplus factory parts. Apparently HK still makes the full auto G3 version the German army still uses. We just plinked around that afternoon, hard to tell so far about accuracy. I plan on scoping it, probably a Redfield 2-7x. I never was real good with open sights, and my over 50 eyeballs don't help. They have a reputation for match grade accuracy. I'll let ya know! CDNN in Abilene is selling them for $900, HK's have gone up even more since they're no longer available.
