  1. Happy Anniversary Ms. Allie, Thanks for the update.
  2. J-M Leather makes nice affordable cart holsters. http://www.jm-leather.com/accessories2.htm About half way down the page
  3. Either way, bad sear or not, he pointed it at her and cocked the hammer and let go of it. Seems he's the root cause of the death. Nobody else was pointing the gun at her.
  4. He also said a few times that he would never aim a gun at a person. Well dumb^ss, you obviously did. That new self cocking SAA would be nice for handicapped shooters.
  5. While the tree hung from the hook we would trim back branches until it was snug in the corner. Then we would cut out the door opening. After trying to get the first one back outside and having needles on the floor and everywhere for eternity, we learned to put a bed sheet under it when setting up and then cut the branches off and carry it out in the sheet. The trunk went out in one piece and got turned into campfire wood. Most of them grew another 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch while in the house. Drank about 2 gallons of water a day! Used a 5 gal. bucket and rocks for a stand and wrapped the sheet over it to hide the bucket.
  6. We haven't done a tree in several years after the cats destroyed many old ornaments. But previous to that we used to get 20 foot trees and all the ornaments were elephants or harley ornaments. Looked pretty cool! A real treat to get a 20' tree in the house. Finally put a hook in the ceiling and used a block and tackle to lift it and then a Sawzall to cut it up to remove after the holidays. Too old for all that labor now.
  7. For wild turkeys I like deep frying. Second best was in the oven in a roaster bag, but the legs aren't quite as edible.
  8. I can't see it in the cartridge before placing a bullet however. Counting on my Dillon to not let me down, knock on wood!
  9. I use Clays or Clay-Dot these days and go several matches before needing to clean the 45. The wifes 38 stays clean all season.
  10. All I get is the FB login page. Oh well!!
  11. Yeh, if anything will crap up a 45colt Marlin--Trailboss will do it real well. Got tired of having to do major cleaning after every match. Pricey stuff too!
  12. Try not to blame yourselves. We make the best decision we can at the moment. Been there too many times and still think back wondering if I could have done something different.
  13. I've held and cried with every one. The final look they give you, I like to think of as a "Thanks for being with me". Blurry now!
  14. Been hunting a nice 9 pointer all season, the neighbors friend shot it Friday afternoon-lost it- the coyotes had a nice dinner. Bummer!
  15. I was in 4th grade at Skinner Road school!
  16. Congratulations and "Fine Job" on your first shoot. Hang on now for the continued addiction!
  17. It's changed a bit since these pix. I've added a MEC Grabber and in between are threaded holes for ather reloaders and equip. to be screwed down with knob screws. Off to the right is my 5' work bench for gun cleaning etc. The aluminum rail around the bench is for hanging Acro bins where needed while reloading. I built the bench 42" high, so no need for strong mounts to raise the machines. All machines are grounded to a rod outside.
