Wish I could watch, but 5 minutes of commercials every 6 minutes to watch a movie edited to fit a time slot is too much for me. Same reason I no longer watch Grit TV.

I’ve lived in places like that. When I was in high school, (St. Louis) the rule was public schools didn’t close unless there was 6” on the ground. Where I live now the threshold is much lower. They’ll even shut down under threat of bad weather.

I have to disagree Eyesa. The NRA lost sight of its original mission of promoting gun safety and shooting sports. Instead it became a political lobbying organization that had little to do with the 2nd amendment and became a liability. That activity should be the purview of PACs. To my knowledge, the other shooting sports/2A groups don’t draw the attention, ire and hatred that the NRA has brought upon itself.

We mustn’t lose sight of the primary purpose of the lawsuit which is to dismantle the NRA entirely. I’m glad the rot has been exposed, but Letitia James said early on the NRA shouldn’t be allowed to exist. Hopefully a new board and structure will prevent that from happening.

On the documentary front, there is “Hotshot”, about wildland firefighting. My son who was Hotshot in Prescott, AZ for 6 years recommended it, saying it pretty accurately reflects what it’s like, which is unlike that BS series on network TV. The scenes, video and commentary mirror what he’s shared with me over the years. These men and women don’t get the credit they deserve. It’s excellent, informative and sobering. He will need many, many batteries for a day’s work at great expense to him. He’ll then have to increase his rates as a result, adding to the inflationary cycle of the cost of doing business.

To the OP: the SS option results in a bit more effort pulling the hammer as compared to an action job without the SS. Whether that matters to you is strictly personal. I prefer my Rugers without the SS and they’re buttery smooth, but with a longer pull. The extra $$$ wasn’t worth it to me. That’s just me, YMMV. The only way to make an informed choice is to try before you buy.

I concur wholeheartedly. I once flew to Dodge City just to make a proficiency flight. There was a feedlot at the end of the runway. When I slid the canopy back, wheeeooo, the aroma was overwhelming. The only “old west” thing was a poorly done replica of Front Street in another part of town. You could see the whole thing in 5 minutes or less.
