  6. I shoot with at cowboy that is not interested in time. He shoots duelist. gunfighter, cap and ball, pale rider, whatever suits his mood that day. He has on occasion, used an H&R single shotgun with ejector. I have been his TO more than once. I think he has eyes on the back of his head that tell him where I am when he ejects. Gotta think fast when you are the TO Chancy

  12. From the SAF newsletter BELLEVUE, Wash. — July 3, 2025 — With the passage of the One Big, Beautiful Bill (OBBB), which eliminates the excise tax on silencers and short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns and “Any Other Weapons,” or AOWs, the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and its partners have issued a joint statementindicating their intention to challenge the remaining registration requirements for the affected arms under the National Firearms Act (NFA) as unconstitutional. “The NFA is nothing more than a tax scheme which has imposed an unconstitutional burden on Americans since 1934,” said SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut. “The registration of these items was only justified as the means to ensure taxes on them had been paid. With the One Big, Beautiful Bill zeroing out the tax for silencers and short barreled firearms, the registration scheme serves no other purpose than to create an unlawful barrier to keep people from exercising their Second Amendment rights. Our intention with this new lawsuit is to completely remove these barriers.” As the groups noted in their statement, “While we continue to fight for the total legislative elimination of the NFA, our organizations are proud to stand together in a new strategic lawsuit to challenge the constitutionality of the NFA in Federal Court.” Joining SAF are the American Suppressor Association, National Rifle Association and Firearms Policy Coalition. “SAF has been fighting for more than 50 years to remove unnecessary burdens to our constitutional freedoms, and we welcome the opportunity to fight for the further dismantling of the NFA in court,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “The reforms in the One Big, Beautiful Bill represent the biggest blow to the NFA since its inception, and we fully support its complete repeal. Just like we’ve done for more than five decades, SAF will continue to fight so all Americans can have the freedom to exercise their Second Amendment rights for generations to come.”

  17. This is a well preserved Belgian made 16 gauge SxS hammer gun. Both metal and wood retain the majority of their factory finishes. The bores in the 30" twist steel (BELGIAN LAMINATED BARRELS) are mirror bright with no pitting. There are some "waves" in the metal that is typical of this form of manufacture. Right bore measures. 671" and Left bore measures. 669". Chambers are 2.5", perfect for Magtech brass shells. Stocks are solid, with minimal handling marks. Checkering is sharp. Grooved steel buttplate. The receiver, marked JANSSEN SONS & CO., retains some original case colors. One firing pin is a replacement, but both work. Action locks up tight, with some minor wiggle with forend off. Great for black powder or 2.5" vintager shells with BP pressure. $325 + Shipping.

  18. HKU, I shoot a Browning SxS with ejectors in cowboy clays. When I open the action empty hulls coming flying out. I never have to pluck a stuck hull out and never have to jerk the shotgun backwards or tip it downward to clear the chambers. The shotgun clears itself and ejects hulls even more reliably than my '97s. Ejectors have a clear advantage over extractors. If you tried one the advantage would be obvious.
  19. Why should this day be different from all other days?
