High Plains Hud SASS#64232 Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Many , many , many found talks and memories. He is feeling better now. Prayers up for loved ones🙁
Dantankerous Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 I had an email conversation with Fingers several years back that I remember quite well. I had some cap and ball questions. He was very helpful, but what struck me most was his his absolute wonderful demeanor even in his writing. I possed with him a time or 2 in Lenexa and I think Parker and he was an absolute joy to speak with in person and hang out with. A true gentleman and a man I wish I could have known better. Rest in Peace, Fingers.
el Pueblo Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Never met him, but read many of his posts about cap and ball revolvers, learned about dates of manufacture, obscure makers, quality issues.....truly an expert in the field. RIP
Painted Mohawk SASS 77785 Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 RIP Fingers...met him some years back, nice guy & remember him fondly....

Painted Mohawk SASS 77785 Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Maybe combine this thread with the one that's in the Saloon
Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted October 22, 2024 Author Posted October 22, 2024 I reposted J-Bar’s Saloon thread here because not all Wire readers visit the Saloon and vice versa. Fingers was well known in both camps.
Rooster Ron Wayne Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Loads of lost information and Cap Gun History. RIP Pard
Nimble Fingers SASS# 25439 Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Yes, I used to read everything he posted about cap & ball, loved watching him search for items for his collection! Sorry to hear he’s gone!
