Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Actually... as I was leaving the medical center last Wednesday (continuing 'stones saga) I said "dangit ~ after that, I'm gonna have myself a martini tonight!" The very kind nurse smiled and said "you go right on ahead - you deserve it!" Reminds me of another time... about ten years ago, having gone through some cardiac stuff (AFib). My doctor said "No alcohol! It's bad for your heart!" But my cardiologist said, "Ya know... just don't go overboard, but having a drink or two is okay - it's good for your heart!" So guess whose advice I chose to take...?
