Clean ‘er up and drag out the corkscrew!!

Powers is too good to be wasted!!

I’d gouge the cork out and pour it through a strainer before I would let that go to waste!!!

If you aren't into wine, unwind a wire hangar.  It usually does the trick.

A "rabbit" corkscrew removed the fragment easily, and one of the wine bottle plugs fit nicely, so enjoyment was only delayed a few moments.  Not a tragedy, just one more frustration.

Gotta drink 'em up faster so the corks don't dry out! ;-)

From the angle (or my bifocals are about worn out from looking through them so much), it looked like the top of the bottle's neck was broken off at cork level.

Optical delusion, sorry.

Hoping your day improved a bit after the delay.

I'm hoping that when the cork came out your day improved a bit.  And now I have a new "quest".  I must find a bottle of Powers to try.  So many whiskeys, so little time.  Life is so unfair.

Hope you are not disappointed.  It's very smooth without strong or distinctive tastes... it just slides down easily and pretty soon you grateful for the Irish!

God made whiskey (Jamesons, Powers, Red Breast, Bushmills etc.....) to keep the Irish from ruling the world.
