I had an 8 cylinder Studebaker Lark convertible in college.  Not only a chick magnet, it had reclining seats!  Reasonably fast as well.

it was a bench, no console, with split seat back, you could recline one side or both neatly flat.

We had a 64 Studebaker Lark, four-door. 1965. I don't remember seats reclining. But what did I know - I was 10.

I believe it was an option - a relative had a Studebaker dealership.  Family had a 4 door as well.  Can't recall if it reclined.  Lot of years ago.
