So Proudly We Hail

Recommended Posts

Universal Cinema Classic DVD.  Came out in 1943, but I just got it yesterday,  Never heard of it before and it's an early BD gift from a friend

Lots of big name stars, based on the true story of nurses  during WWII from before Pearl Harbor until they were sent home after Bataan and Corregidore, and  after MacArthur went to Australia.

I recommend it as one of the best unknown movies I've ever seen.  I'll watch it again later on.

George Reeves played a pretty prominent role in So Proudly We Hail. He played a minor role in From Here to Eternity about ten years later. He became famous for playing Superman/Clark Kent in Adventures of Superman on television during most of the 1950s. Too bad he died so young.
