Pat Riot Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 I went in search of some photos / videos that weren’t all dark like they’re hiding something. I have never been in battle nor have I stormed a building looking for bad guys, but I am pretty sure no one that actually has would wear this ridiculous get up. https://mehler-protection.com/body-armour/systems/exom-exoskeleton/

sassnetguy50 Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 It is designed to stop bullets and shrapnel, makes sense that it resembles EOD suit. Full arm armor is a good thing if your teammate's revolver is rested on your bicep. Manurhin MR73, articles I've read say they use 38 special instead of 357. Must have full mobility in the arms.
Utah Bob #35998 Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Useless for military combat but I can see where it would come in handy for SWAT entrance teams.
Trailrider #896 Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Having never been in combat, and having a LOT of respect for those with big ones, I see there is a good sized codpiece as part of the equipment!
