Alpo
I'm a convicted felon. Therefore I am not allowed access to firearms - not just can't own them I'm not allowed to touch them - or whatONE, YOU BRAIN-DEAD BASTAGE single solitary round of ammunition. How about explosives? That Dukes of Hazzard thread got me thinking. Bo and Luke were caught running moonshine. Tried convicted and put on probation. But because they are convicted felons they cannot handle firearms. During the first season - I don't remember if they did it any of the other times but they definitely did it in the first season - they was going around with compound bows with dynamite tied to the arrows. I do not recall what they were blowing up but I remember them shooting the arrows and blowing stuff up. So if as a convicted felon I cannot have guns or ammunition, am I allowed Dynamite? sassnetguy50
In 2023, no. In 1979, I don't know. Possibly uncle Jesse bought the sticks for stump removal on the farm.
PowderRiverCowboy
Thats a easy one we just did our explosives renewal No you would have to a Permit/license You cant even have DET cord or a blasting cap anymore without it implementation of the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).11 The SEA was enacted in November 2002 to enhance public safety by expanding the ATF’s licensing authority to include the intrastate manufacture, purchase, and use of explosives; by expanding the categories of “prohibited persons” to be denied access to explosives; by requiring background checks on all individuals who have access to explosives; and by mandating triennial inspections of licensees’ manufacturing and storage facilities. Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
Forget ammo, that piece of brass that’s hiding in the carpet in the trunk of your car can get you sent to the slammer.
Father Kit Cool Gun Garth
I only stopped reading after the first sentence when I found out that @Alpo was a convicted felon! And he's still allowed to post?
Chantry
I never watched the show, but if the Sheriff's Department was corrupt, then they aren't likely to involve the state or the Feds over some moonshine smugglers using dynamite, they might just end up in prison themselves.
