Yul Lose
Driving home from Arizona yesterday I remembered that I had made this fractal burned, vacuum dyed box lid lift a few years ago and wondered how the gold leaf gilding would look on it. This morning first thing I applied the gold leaf and a few coats of lacquer later here’s what it looks like. The wood is spalted tamarind and I tried for the turquoise look when I dyed it. One Gun Jimmy
Such a classic application of a modern technique in the Fractal, and a modern application of a classic technique in the gold leaf. Can I be Yul when I grow up?

Yul Lose
Thank you for the kind comments everyone. I’ve got a pard that wants an entire gun cart fractal burned and inlayed. I don’t know if he’s got enough money for the time it’s going to take.
