Bailey Creek,5759
I have a Set of Harness, some have steel hanes and some with wood. I noticed writting on the wooden ones. Got a piece of paper and a pencel. Traced the lettering on the paper. It says Seventh Cavalry. Picked up the harness in Missouri 30 yrs ago.
Abilene Slim SASS 81783
All I know of Hanes is underwear. Should this be hames, or haines? That's a straight up question as I see it spelled differently when Googled. But mostly it's hames.

Utah Bob #35998
Have you researched the item as far as possible date of manufacture? The 7th was active long after the Little Big Horn fight.
