Chief Rick Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Anybody flying a flag from a Rugged Gear Gun Cart? What are you using to hold the flagpole? I have a 12"x18" flag on a 3/8" diameter dowel (approximately 30" long). I'd like to be able to attach the flag when we pull the cart out at a match and take it off before we stow the cart - and not use something that inhibits folding the cart.

Do you carry a back-up rifle? Drop the dowel in the barrel.
Marshal Stone, SASS #53366 Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 I use an old flexible clip-on lamp with the lamp assembly and cord removed. Slide the dowel in where the cord used to be. Been doing this for years. Works great for me. Marshal Stone
SHOOTIN FOX Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 Make a tee out of pvc that fits behind the rifle rack. Cross piece keeps the upright from poking a hole i. The. bottom of the cart. I use this setup for a ,large umbrella.

I used to use one like this for an umbrella holder. Used a small bungee cord that held to top in place. Take the PVC rack out when folding cart. Marshal Stone
watab kid Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 thats what i did , used a bungee so everything could be set aside when not needed , i had a cart i got from a friend who has since passed away , he welded/brazed in too the frame but there was no adjustability in that , there are a ;ot of ways it can be done of you set your mind to it , on my golf bag cart i simply bought an umbrella mount that was made for that purpose , it has all kinds of flexibility - check out bag boy accessories
J.S. Sooner, SASS #73526 Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 These would work for your flag holder. Use this mount to attach to the cart and make up a tube to bolt on the mount for your flag. Available in different sizes. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0791NB4FM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
