Large frame .357 vaquero

Recommended Posts

Old/ original/large frame. 357 case hardened 4.62" barrel.  Vaquero

Picked it up at the gun show last weekend for a new shooter.   They decided to go another way.   Front sight has been filed.  Hasn't been shot much.

$900 shipped.  I'll get pics when I get home from the horse auction tonight.

  • evil dogooder changed the title to Large frame .357 vaquero

The title says it all. Vaquero which is made by Ruger no one else ever made a vaquero revolver, because it is a vaquero it would be single action. It is large frame which means it  the old style and it is 357. Not that hard!

Original post left some of this pertinent information out. We all know what it is now, since it has been edited. You are just a little late to the party.

OMV 357 , It is an old model Vaquero? Probably , but not really typed in those particular words , it is either OMV (large frame ) or NMV ( Smaller  frame ) , both manufactured by Ruger . That is quite  simpler I believe , Splitthumb

Welcome aboard Creek & Thumb.

There are a few who prefer these original size vaqueros.   If only you had a couple FS, ED.
