Interesting tidbit on Sheriff John Behan

My brother-in-law gave me a book on John Behan for my birthday.  Interesting that it was written by a Canadian who just happens to reside 14 miles from our place.  It is called "Westport's Tarnished Star" by Annette Gray (320 pages) and is in defense of John Behan, as she was tired of all the miss-truths about him.  She spent a lot of time on researching it as she lists 6 1/4 pages of sources.  Most of her time was spent in Arizona and Missouri researching it.

Now, the tidbit is that Kurt Russell (Wyatt Earp) always called Behan, "Sheriff Be-han" when it is correctly pronounced 'Bean or been' and that the H is silent.  If interested, the book can be obtained from

Six and a quarter pages of op. cit. ...

Now that's an awful lot of work right there!
