Forty Rod SASS 3935
As great as that is the sound will never replace the wupwwupwupwupwupwupwup of a Huey coming to take you out a bad place. Someone around here flies three to five Hueys about once a month.
Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
I guess the noise from the rotors is low enough that it doesn't annoy the neighbours!
Pat Riot
How would NASA react if all of a sudden there was a shotgun blast and the drone flew into a hundred pieces?

And I had the volume turned up to 11. It's subtle and doesn't come on until maybe 25 seconds into the video. If you have a headset try with that. With the age and life experiences of so many here I suspect that hearing degradation may make it very, very difficult for some to hear.

Subdeacon Joe
Try from this link: https://mars.nasa.gov/news/8941/nasas-perseverance-captures-video-audio-of-fourth-ingenuity-flight/ It sounds like the static hum of an old vacuum tube radio warming up. Rye Miles #13621
I heard it loud and clear on my I-Mac!! Cool! Couldn't hear it on my phone though.

Subdeacon Joe
If I listen to it on my Samsung Galaxy S10, outputting through the speakers, I can barely hear it. If I use the earbuds it is very clear, and if I use my desktop there is no mistaking it.

The initial wind, then the static hum. Fortunately it is at a slightly different pitch than my tinnitus so I can hear it with reasonable clarity. Every once in a while I wonder what silence would seem like now.

Colorado Coffinmaker
Apparently the frequency is somewhere within the range of MY tinnitus. Of course, I spent major time around LOUD airplanes, not necessarily with correct hearing protection. I also don't see it as a "Big Deal."
