Pat Riot
I seem to recall this was a fad about 25 or so years ago. I remember a friend of mine wanted to do this on one of our weekend shooting trips far out in the desert. We did launch one anvil that weighed about 45 or 50 pounds a couple of hundred feet in the air. It did not come straight down. It arced and came towards us and our trucks. We only did it once. Gateway Kid SASS# 70038 Life
Back in my early days of SASS, at the San Juan range they would open the festivities by launching a bowling ball. No way of telling how high it made it but, holy cow, you would lose sight of it for a moment. First time my wife saw it ----- Boys and their toys! First time I saw it ---- I wonder if I could do that! Regards Gateway Kid
