What is for supper?

Recommended Posts

Given Utah Bob's thread about 2020 keeps on giving, the subject of solar energy parks prompts me to wonder if anybody has looked at a picture of USA from space to see the light shadow at night? I can not imagine how much land would be required to supply that much energy using only solar power and/or wind then there is all of the other stuff besides lights. Things like running automobile chargers, home appliances, heating systems, etc.

The list goes on.

Take that much land out of production, along with the increase in population and consumption, what are they planning on eating?

You forget some people are more equal than others in certain societies and MUST be able to maintain their status.

the BIG problem with things that are mandated , subsidized , run by governments is that they were not people tried and tested , they did not evolve thinking of economy and desirability or acceptance by the public , they dont continue to evolve based on cost effectiveness and supply/demand ,

they are the brainchild of some narrow minded people that think they are smarter than everyone else - all good ideas must weather the test of time and scrutiny of the consuming public , you cant just make an edict and have everything work out fine ,

socialism is a mental disorder - you can vote your way into but have to shoot your way out of --unless they took your guns and shoot you trying to escape , the berlin wall held half the city back for decades

But was that land ever in production?

Yes.  The solar fields are replacing row crops here.  Then they put the feed lines and towers through the neighbors fields.  After the contract expires in 20-30 years, it is the farmer’s expense to remove the solar panels and deal with the EPA.

I have a roof top solar electrical system.  I didn't ue up any land that could be used for anything else, not any land of any kind.

$123.00 month lease and my highest bill since moving to Arizona was $31.60 compared to a couple of southern California months that ran over $400.00

so your paying $154.60 ? or are you getting money back ? free energy should reduce costs - otherwise we would have been doing this years ago before these mandates and government incentives ....................this is not the way to develop new stuff in my mind ,

consensus is not science and science mandated is not true science , do not insult the sciences with this crap stuffed down their throats with money hanging out there on a stick , true science will preserve us - false science will crush us , just sayin ,

if the politian's are so smart - cure cancer ....then ill buy your energy policy and your ruination of so much of the economy
