excluding the end date of July 4, 2022 there are 177 days until then.

I decided on July 4th because it is Independence Day…my Independence Day. ;)

The reality is my retirement date will probably be July 1st, Friday, or the 5th, Tuesday, depending on how the bureaucrats at work calculate things for me. A side benefit to selecting July 4th is this year the holiday falls on a Monday. Politicians, Bureaucrats and Bankers love Monday holidays. Since those folks are typically on my list of scum the world could do better without I think retiring in a Monday is appropriate in my case. ;)

Kind of like a cat wiping its feet as it exits a cat box…

OK. So tomorrow will be 176.

I gave a retirement date of April 1st. I thought that was appropriate for the business I worked for.

(It also was just after the company would announce the retirement funding amounts for the year).

Yeah, July 1st is the magic date for CalPERS here. California Public Employee’s Retirement System.

April 1st would definitely be more appropriate, though.
