Does anyone know of an OLD author named John D MacDonald?

Recommended Posts

I'm fairly certain this is not the same man that wrote Travis McGee.

I have found two Christmas plays for children by John D MacDonald. They were written in 1919.

The Travis McGee author was born in 1916. I doubt he was writing at the age of 3.

These two plays are all that Google seems to have ever heard of regarding this man. Do any of y'all know of him?

Is he the old guy that owned a farm

No, you've got him confused with the red headed guy who invented the Big Mac.

Looks like Amazon and others have confused the two MacDonalds.  They are using the mystery writer's bio in conjunction with the two children's plays you refer to, even though, as you point out, he would have been three years old at the time they were written.  Can't find anything on an older author of the same name.
