Subdeacon Joe
I watched in gobsmacked awe as The Wall was breached.
Calamity Kris
I watched my mother cry as her relatives were finally re-united.
Pat Riot
I wondered if pieces of the wall would show up in 7-11s for sale at the counter. That wasn’t a joke. I seriously did wonder about that. After visiting Germany a couple of times I found it odd that even after 20 years I could tell who the East Germans were from the west Germans. Charlie Harley, #14153
I was there as a young lieutenant. Autobahn 6 was jammed with Trabants and Skodas as they fled west.
Arkie Lee
My next door neighbors from Czechoslovakia came across the first week the wall came down. Immigrated to the US. Devout anti socialist/communist. Breath of fresh air here in the Seattle area.
Dawg Hair, SASS #29557
Man, has it been that long? Somebody, I can't remember who, gave us a piece of the wall. Just a small piece of concrete. I kept it in a small jar but lost it sometime since.

It'll probably take one or two generations. Old beliefs die hard.
Blackwater 53393
I had taken a poly-psy course as part of my occupational rehab after a broken back. We watched it all happen. The class was held at Austin Peay, where most Ft. Campbell soldiers went at the time!! It was interesting to see the different reactions from the soldiers and the civilian students. Many of the civilian kids were OBLIVIOUS to the situation in Germany, even thirty years ago! Most of them knew that the wall was there, but had no concept of the airlift or the tunnels or any of that!! The military students were celebrating!!
